Historic Motorsport - Current Season

November 2007 will see the third running of the now famous East African Safari Classic Rally.

It will run over 9 days and cover 4500 Kms in Kenya and Tanzania.

On the first event in 2003 Historic Motorsport finished 4th overall and were the best Ford team.

In 2005 they finished 2nd overall when the car was driven by former World Champion Stig Blomqvist. They were also the best Ford team again.

In this years event Historic Motorsport have entered two cars which will be driven by former World Champions Stig Blomqvist and Bjorn Waldegard (the latter has won the Safari on no less than 4 times in the past).

Team director David Sutton commented 'They will both be driving brad new Ford Escort RS1600's which have been specifically adapted for the tough Safari conditions.'
